Every Sayers book featuring both Harriet Vane and Lord Peter Wimsey is incredible, and this book is no exception. While all of Wimsey's mysteries are good, Harriet balances Peter's intensity just perfectly. This book tells of Harriet and Peter's marriage and honeymoon. They purchase a house for the honeymoon only to discover the previous owner has gone missing and everyone in the tiny English village is suspicious. It's a brilliantly ingenious plot with such amazing and complex characters!
