Horror screenwriter Nash Kirkland is contemplating a movie about witches. Hearing of a witch living in Monterey, he comes to get background information and stories, even if he doesn't believe in any of it himself.

Morgana Donovan was born a witch in a whole line of witches going back throughout history. She lives in Monterey, her hometown, knowing that she will find love and bear her children there.

Although Nash and Morgana are instantly attracted to each other, his disbelief in her witchcraft and the reality of true magic causes issues. She refuses to consummate their relationship until he believes, waiting for the right moment.

But even with the magic of love, old hurts and a history of neglect will tear the lovers apart. Morgana can do no more. It is up to Nash to admit that what he feels for her is real and not a spell.

The reader may need tissues nearby during the last section of the book as Roberts forcefully yanks your emotions with both hands. A glorious read from start to finish. Very respectful of the Craft. 4.5 out of 5.
