Well-grounded in pandemic science/history, a decent page-turner with engaging plot & secrets that unfold, and I was invested in Henry and his family as characters. Much of the writing, however, was dry and stilted, and despite its relevance I found the Russia/war plot unspeakably boring. One of those books that feels like it's gunning to be adapted into a movie.
Moderate: Sexual assault
A child is held down and groped, with the implication that the man is about to rape her, but he is disrupted before it goes further.
