A disappointing end to a promising trilogy...
The first two books in this series were surprisingly good, so I was really looking forward to the final installment. Sadly, it left alot to be desired. The story was patchy and felt unfinished. The main character lacked the depth and complexity of the previous two. While there was a hint of the larger purpose and sense of what's right that carried through the first two books, R.J. seems distracted throughout and her story never seemed to actually get going. There were also some distracting typos ... each of the books had some that were easy to ignore, but it's hard not to focus on a page that says "arroz con polio." Then a good chunk of the ending is someone else's story entirely.
