The Teaching Hours by Sara Ney

4.0

You've met them both in previous books. Her in The Lying Hours (she's best friends with the heroine.) Him in The Coaching Hours (he is a side character with a little more screen time than most.) It was good to see him redeem himself. SPOILER ALERT: He was a major douchebag in that other book. This is a novella so it is shorter in length and the storyline moves faster than your typical novel. If you've read The Lying Hours, you get a sneak peek at the beginning of this book, so you might have some knowledge about what's going to happen. She is a bit of a wild card or a loose cannon. She has no fear in putting someone in their place. Most men are scared of her... probably the reason she can't seem to find a man worth keeping. She is also secretly insecure. His options have been limited since the scandal that took place in the previous book. He wants to settle down, but he is only back in town for a year or so. He also is just the man to take her on and put her in her place. This one is somewhat open-ended. While it ends on a good note, it ends rather abruptly, with no hint into the future. There is humor and a lot of sexual content (both the act of and talk of,) deeming it suitable for mature readers. It alternates between POVs.
