The first half I was not sure about. The MC felt very distant and I couldn't really get into her. When the second murder happened I saw it coming and realised who the culprit was . However the later twists and turns were a very fun surprise. I really felt for the MC and her feelings towards Vanguard/AI . I really liked how the MC anxiety and panic attacks were described, it made my heart clench in tension too. The rest of the characters did feel a little flat. Especially her direct boss. Also his way of speaking really annoyed me and the amounts of aye?'s and yeah?'s was getting a bit much. I do love that it is all set in the not too distant future. Which made it much more relatable than space thrillers set somewhere in the next millennium. All and all a good read with slow start but a satisfying ending.
Graphic: Blood, Medical content, and Murder
