Katherine Angel does a fantastic job at deconstructing the current views on female desire. This book not only touches on the psychological and social rhetoric that influences female desire, it also explains the biological difference of bodies and their needs.
As a queer person myself, I thought this book didn't overgeneralise women or the female body. I thought it touched on certain truths in a very 'if it applies to you that's great' manner. No matter if you are straight, lesbian, bi, trans, nonbinary, or asexual, I feel that everyone would get something positive out of this book. Because desire is not always just physical, and certain aspects this book explained can apply to non-sexual human interactions.
The only reason why I gave it a three-star review, is because I felt this book left me with far more questions than answers. As I said, Angel does a fantastic job at explaining and dissection desire... but she left the 'solutions' to these quite vague. There wasn't a clear 'call to action', which isn't 100% necessary; I just personally would've liked and benefited from one.
