The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger
1.0
No nuance, no surprises. The only surprise was that we never learned what made Miranda one of the most successful woman in fashion magazines. We never saw her be an editor, only a one-dimensional fire-breathing dragon. Nothing believable here.
Ugly Betty, which I'm sure used Prada as a springboard, had over-the-top characters/caricatures, but occasionally gave you a glimpse of humanity in all the excess and ridiculous situations. Prada was soulless and frustratingly obvious.
