Solid. I didn’t love the pacing, some of the interpersonal moments felt repetitive and drawn out. I loved the 🌶️ and wished there was more of it. She did a better job this time of foreshadowing the ending but the “click” moment still felt hazy, like the foreshadowing moments still didn’t add up. I actually felt the last couple chapters after the revelation weren’t necessary and belonged in an interim novella or at the beginning of the next book. Which, I guess, I have to buy now. *sigh*
STG tho if it’s all about “no I’m evil now, I’m going to be mean to you to scare you away and it hurts me more than it hurts you” “I can fix him!” Angst then I’m not here for it. That’s a problem that could be solved in a few therapy sessions.
