Who Will Accompany You? by Meg Stafford

5.0

I feel horrible that I did not review this sooner. I received this months ago, when I first really started using Goodreads. When this arrived, I could not figure out where I won it from. Of course I was not mad at all because it sounded amazing, and it was. Well, I just was going through my giveaway wins on here and noticed it was one of the first books that I had won! So I apologize to the author for this late review. And thank you for signing my copy!

Now for my review! I want to start with saying that I am a mother of two adult daughters, so of course I had to read this. When you have children and when they become adults, you will grow apart in a weird way. Not on purpose. You go through seeing each other every day for 18 or more years, to going days without seeing each other.

Hearing Meg, and her two daughters, point of view of each of them having separate trips with their mother is amazing. You see not only the adventures, and how each adventure is different because each daughter is uniquely her own person. And the adventures are so amazing! You see her form a new type of relationship with them. As a parent you have to discipline and parent so much that it’s the form of relationship that you have. The transition to not disciplining them and not parenting too much can be tough, but if you do it correctly, you can form a friendship and still be a parent. I feel like Meg showed us how to do this! Thank you Meg for this story!

I received this book through a Goodreads giveaway. My review is not influenced in no way.
