Dead of Winter by Lee Collins

3.0

Entertaining enough monsters in the Old West story. Fortunately, some of the things that were bothering me for 3/4 of the book had an explanation (unfortunately, others could only be explained by the main character being a bit of a blunt instrument, which is not my favorite thing to read). This is an easy-to-spoil book, so I'm going to have to leave it there.

I don't know know if it's just because I'm in the middle of NaNoWriMo right now, but a number of things made me think this might have originated as a NaNoWriMo novel, and indeed that was confirmed in the notes at the end. Good for this author, but I'm starting to think there may be some bad habits we pick up by doing NaNo....
