The best part of this book was the house acting as a character. Unfortunately, the human characters were lacklustre with their superficial relationships and irritating squabbles.
This seems like a cross between Seanan McGuire / Mira Grant’s previous work, but without the social commentary of Rolling in the Deep or the whimsy of the Wayward Children series.
