Dark Desires After Dusk by Kresley Cole

4.0

Another sweet sugary fix.

I wanted to read another IAD book after Lothaire and this was my first pick after a quick scroll through the blurbs. Lothaire's voice and Cade's voice were different which is great since they are two different characters. Way to state the obvious but sometimes heros (and stories) can sound the same. Cade's a mercenary and he's on the good side? Even if he's a brutal killer but then again, all of Lorekind...kill?

There's got be more to OCD than what Holly portraying...I suppose her Valkyrie-ness eliminated that need, that compulsion she had???

Cade...he went for it at every chance he got, how was Holly not to melt despite...well being sheltered ("repressed") and turned off by his cursing, manners, bla bla. I still think she forgave him too easily at the end. They all melt. Meh.

Similar to Lothaire, Holly ends up in Val Hall and buddies it up with the Valkyries. Is that a running theme? I can't recall if that also happens in all the other earlier books.

Overall, Lothaire wins. While comparing Dark Desires after Dusk and Lothaire, Cade was making it very hard for me
