Clive Nickelby and his former graduate student, Lydia, have disappeared somewhere in the Caribbean, along with Carl Fitzpatrick's log book that may, or may not, be the key to $4million in gold ingots, mined in Ecuador and sent to Spain, only to be lost in a ship wreck. Marion Ford, marine biologist and secret agent man, is looking for them, along with his friend, Tomlinson. There are also some very bad men looking for them as well. Murder and mayhem ensue, along with some interesting information on indigenous people that have lived in the Caribbean for centuries. Doc Ford and Tomlinson always win, but along the way, the reader can learn new things.
