This wasn't bad but this might leave my brain after a day or two. I initially assumed this would take more of a non fiction-y vibe with women being at the forefront in Hawaii assisting in roles I didn't realize women were responsible for in America during WW2. I will say that the premise is different from other WW2 novels centered in America which was nice but after the first couple of chapters, I found myself a little irritated by some of the behaviors of the fellow women that Daisy was working with and the constant reminders about her sad life. I wanted more info on the ins and outs of what the roles involved and some higher stakes.
Moderate: War
