There are few times I’ve actually teared up while reading a book but
the letter that Camille wrote to the soul that she aborted made me cry. This book really made me think. Abortion is one of those issues that I wrestle with constantly in my mind and hearing this perspective makes me wrestle with it even more. Paris Hilton wrote about it in her book and she said not to judge a woman who chooses abortion unless you’ve been in their shoes and that’s what I usually go back to. I loved that the main three characters in this book were diverse in their way of thinking about abortion. Bea had to wrestle with going against everything she believes in and being a good friend. I think she - like me - would like to apologize for those religious people that tries to enforce shame and guilt onto others. I flew through this book and I’m so glad I read it.
