This first book in the Godstone Saga was a book of an action and tastes of romance.
We are given two couples who must survive and save their land from the mysterious empire.
Caelan, the heir and his best friend Drayce.
Eno, the body guard and Rayne, the royal advisor all must find a way to work together to solve the mystery.
Their romances are on the back burner while still burning bright and hot. (This is TWO couples, not a MMMM)
I enjoyed this book and I am very excited to see where the author leads us.
I give this book a 3.5 *
Real talk:
This book reads like a Final Fantasy XV story line.
Every character has their own fighting style,
They have to quest to find things in different villages. It kept throwing me out of the book.
Also the mention of modern technological devices like SUVs and cellphones REALLY threw me. Just a warning for you people who like less modern in your fantasy,… (even in FFXV did have cars and phones)
