Dead in the Water: A True Story of Hijacking, Murder, and a Global Maritime Conspiracy by Kit Chellel, Matthew Campbell

adventurous challenging dark informative mysterious sad tense fast-paced

4.5

From a pirate attack of the shores of Somalia to a London court, this is a fascinating tale of complex maritime insurance fraud. Maritime insurance fraud doesn't sound like the most fascinating subject in the world but by focussing on one case, the authors have managed to bring life, and shocking death, to the subject. The only reason it's not five stars is because sometimes the authors over explain the obvious which is slightly irritating. Great book though
