Heartstopper Volume 1 by Alice Oseman
5.0
My first book for May was a real 'Heartstopper'. I just happened to walk past it on the shelves on the library when I decided to borrow it. It made for the in the perfect bath companion on Sunday afternoon. I really didn't want to put it down and savoured every panel on every page.
I've never read a graphic novel before and I was pleasantly surprised at how fast I feel for the story and the characters despite there being few words and the characters being drawings. It was so beautifully storyboarded that the plot and mood radiated off the page.
If you're curious about this read, don't delay. That's if you can find yourself a copy...
I cannot wait to read the rest of the volumes and indulge in the Netflix series!
