Fabulous audiobook narration by Heather Agyepong.
A bit of a slow start but Maddie is an endearing character. Made more so by being in her head and knowing what she’s thinking and feeling vs. what she says and does.
Coming of age for a 25 year old who finally has the opportunity to explore her identity separate from her family obligations (even though she’s never really separate from them).
It was handled with love and it made me cry a bit whenshe was grieving her father .
Heartbreaking and hopeful.
