I'd rate this book 3.5, but I'll round it up to 4.
Now as to my reasoning:
1. I am so incredibly confused right now! Like what in the world just happened and why? I've got so many questions. So, so many.
2. I have the first book to compare it to and the first book blew my mind in the best possible way, while the second book left me scratching my neck more than just once. I'm not evengoing to start at the mindfck of the ending that I can't wrap my head around.
Now, I love Kaida and Tarrin. I really do. But some of the plot points left me wondering and I did not get answers by the end, only more questions. What was it about getting to Shegora that was so important? Aaah?
