The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien

5.0

I mean, it's Lord Of The Rings. There isn't much to say about these books that hasn't been said. I will say that I can not recommend this enough especially during quarantine. The world is so rich and so lived in, and the scope of the adventure builds so smoothly and grand that it is the perfect series to let yourself live in for a month or two while we're all so limited by what we can go out and do. The book starts off very slow in a quaint, homey kind of way that is like a nice warm hug, and then before you know it you're worrying about orc armies and cave trolls and kingdoms and battles. A delightful and fantastic beautiful book that I can't wait to continue with The Two Towers. 9/10
Who would have thought that the most iconic piece of fantasy ever written was really good huh?
