The Scent of You by Maggie Alderson

3.0

I began this book in fits and starts and was around halfway through when I picked it up again this past weekend. All of a sudden I connected with the story, particularly the children's reactions to their fathers departure. When the circumstances begin to appear mysterious to Polly and Clemmie, I really connected with the journey facing these characters. I think Polly's emerging independence made her a more relatable character as well.
