The Direction of the Wind by Mansi Shah

4.0

A beautiful story about desperation to find oneself, hope, love, and heartbreak. The Direction of the Wind follows mother, Nita, and daughter, Sophie, across two separate timelines as Sophie retraces Nita’s steps from India to Nita’s new life in Paris.

The story was compelling and Nita and Sophie are both complex characters that are easy to root for.
