I really loved this book! Against my will actually. I tried to DNF it twice because Damien was A LOT in the beginning🤦🏽‍♀️ But every time I put it down, I kept coming back. I was ADDICTED! The character development was so amazing. The character growth was amazing. Seeing the character’s progression and the story’s progression was just perfection. How do you write a 700+ page book that’s fast paced and un-put-down-able??? I couldn’t get enough of this story. 750 pages wasn’t enough, I need even more! But I’m very satisfied with the way the book ended, so I guess I don’t need more, but I just miss these characters already and it hasn’t even been an hour since I left them.

SpoilerThere was one thing that I didn’t like though. I’m not a fan of the surprise pregnancy trope in any capacity anyway, but what bothered me was that Damien basically FORCED Dream not to get an abortion. If she had came to that conclusion on her own, cool. But I don’t like that Damien’s threat was the main reason she didn’t get an abortion. It’s her body, so I wish it had been completely her decision to keep the baby (or not if she didn’t want to) without Damien’s influence. And because I was upset about that plus I don’t like surprise pregnancy, that part of the book dragged a little for me. But as you can see by my 5 star rating, it wasn’t enough to take away my love for this book!
