The Lesbiana's Guide to Catholic School by Sonora Reyes

4.5

A wholesome read.  It reminded me a lot of Point B, but it feels like this author actually knows what she's talking about when it comes to the teenaged lesbian experience.  There are a couple moments at the end that are a little too perfect,  a little too "and then everyone clapped," but for the most part it felt like a real person, a real happy ending. The approach to her self identity as it relates to race and sexuality felt genuine and neither whitewashed nor after school special. The characters felt real and unique and I love the term "caucacity"

Also props to the author for skipping the cliched scene where the love interest gets angry about secrets/lies...
