The Quality of Silence by Rosamund Lupton

3.0

3.5. I didn't give up on this book and I like the descriptions of the snow and cold, but I couldn't suspend my disbelief enough to believe the premise. I hated the mother, but maybe I was supposed to. I can't imagine a mother doing what she did and it made me angry. Thinking about our reliance on fossil fuels is important and if this book helps people learn to hang up their laundry on a nice breezy day, then maybe this book is worth it.
