This is a DNF for me.
Jack Frost retelling.
Seasons kill each other as one season ends and the other starts. Spring is supposed to kill Winter as winter weakens, it makes it easier for Spring to kill. They have a ranking system to see which season can last the longest, and a handler who communicates them via transmiter. The story is more scifi when I was expecting fantasy. Also, I'm not a fan of the writing style at all. Very disappointing!
Winter (Jack) and Spring (Fluer) fall in love, which is forbidden by Gaia who gave them eternal life as seasons in physical, human form. The book starts with how Jack becomes Winter then it goes straight into the story with Spring hunting Winter and they are already in love with each other. There's no romance or build up. There's little explanation of how the world is set up, maybe it happens later on, but I couldn't go on past a few chapters.
