This book was incredible! It really surprised me. The story is complex and intriguing and the characters are all deeply thought out and have their own real and true personality. It's a real invitation into what happens in a tight knit group of teen girls. Even though it's set in the late 80's this could be applied to any generation (and later in the book, that point is made). Lots of Heathers and The Breakfast Club vibes but also Sandlot and A League of Their Own. I also think the diversity was handled well, as was the LGBTQ+ representation. There were a lot of often sensitive topics in this book that were handled beautifully and made really good points. I will definitely be reading this one again!
