4.0

More of a what happens just after Return of the Jedi than a lead in to The Force Awakens but nevertheless this four issue mini series includes some important story points, has plenty of dramatic action and we get to meet Poe Dameron's parents.

The rebel alliance may have won the battle of Endor and believe Emperor Palpatine to be dead but as they soon discover, the war is far from over and Imperial forces set forth on a revenge plan that could see the entire destruction of Naboo.

There are really multiple stories going on in this mini series with pilot Shara Bey being the main link from taking part in epic aerial starfights, being part of Han Solo's team in attacking an Imperial base, accompanying Princess Leia to Naboo and being chosen by Luke Skywalker to aid him in a secret mission.  She's a great character and a fittingly adventurous, intelligent and courageous rebel who will ultimately pass these genetic traits to her son Poe.

It's well written although feels to short. Each part of the story could do with being expanded.

The artwork throughout is beautiful. The character likenesses to the corresponding actors and actresses in the films are really good and some of the action sequences are breathtaking.
We just need more of it to make the series feel more substantial.
