Our Lady of the Nile by Scholastique Mukasonga

3.0

FIRST LINE REVIEW: "There is no better lycee than Our Lady of the Nile." A surprisingly "tame" depiction of the tensions that lead to the Rwandan genocide of the Tutsi, seen through an elite all-girl Catholic school in Rwanda. Unfortunately, the tame quality did little to make me care about the girls to the extent that I wanted to. Perhaps much was lost in translation, but this one was disappointing.
