The Ghost Brigades by John Scalzi
2.5
2.5 stars
Noting some brief thoughts for now.
Listened to this book on audio and perhaps that was why I was pretty disconnected with the plot and characters for most of the book. IRL resulted in a stop and start reading experience with the book didn't help but it is what it is.
Overall I found this book to be mostly just "fine" - pleasant enough but nothing much stuck with me while reading it. And almost 5 days later I am already forgetting details.
This very much is in the popcorn-sci-fi-movie-on-streaming vein - the kind that pop up on Netflix and good for a little time pass but nothing particularly memorable. The last chapter or so were good so bumping this up to 2.5 stars.
