Clawback by J.A. Jance
Did not finish book.
2.0
Nope nope nope. I've never read any of J A Jance's books, though I do recall them being fairly interesting. This was my first-ever audio book and I hope that this isn't indicative of how all books are read.
First problem: we find out very early "who did it". So why even continue listening? Figuring out how or when they will capture the criminal(s) isn't exciting at all. Problem two: the narrator was absolutely horrendous! How did the rest of the reviewers sit through such awful, dry dribble?! Uggghhhhh! It was the worst "acting" ever! I made it through disc 5. I think there were 8 or 9? I couldn't take it any more. I truly don't care anything about the characters because the reading was soooooo bad. I MIGHT go back and try the first Ali Lawson book in this series as I believe Clawback is book #11. Trying to keep up with all of the random characters that I know nothing about was not fun. Maybe had I been reading instead of listening it might have been different. And it looks like the other reviewers who liked this audio book are big fans of Ali so they seemed to be excited to hear more from her. Not I. Next.
