3.5

The third installment of the Dexter-series explores new themes. We finally get to find out who Dexter is without his Dark Passenger. More than the first two books it focusses on exploring the character of Dexter and his Passenger. Dexter explores the questions of what the Passenger is, where it came from and what it's purpose is?

As always, Jeff Lindsay's witty writing style and dark humour makes this a thrilling and fun read. Only the Cody and Astor storyline at times seemed a bit drawn out to me.

I can absolutely recommend the Dexter series to people like fast paced books, don't mind a bit of gore and have a dark sense of humour.
