Did not finish book. Stopped at 30%.
If I was rating this right now it would be about 2 stars.
I didn't like the story or characters. The MC Elspeth was okay but I didn't like the nightmare-spirit connection. As for the seeming love interest, colour me uninterested. I hated the cards element and considering this was the main plot device, I thought it better to close up and move on.
I know many have loved this books, many friends in fact, but it shows that we just all experience books differently. Not for me.
