AWOL on the Appalachian Trail by David "Awol" Miller

4.0

I'm a sucker for good books about hiking. It makes me want to pack up my gear and hit a trail. Being that I'm 8 months pregnant, that's not going to happen for a while but this guy, even though he's not the greatest writer (he's not a professional so it's acceptable), he makes you feel like you're with him on this journey meeting and hiking with other thru-hikers. I love books about thru-hiking the AT because even though it's on my bucket list to hike, it will most likely never happen. This guy had some serious foot and knee issues and to see him persevere was just awesome. Highly recommend this book. :)
