Lots of emotional manipulation, which make this book a hard read. And torture. The writing style is not my favorite. The author uses vague euphemisms that left me confused more often than not. This way of phrasing things kept important plot developments ambiguous. It was frustrating.
The world building was ok. The characters were simply crap people. With crap personalities. Not lovable at all. But at the same time, the story was still gripping.
