This was fast paste with well developed characters. I like the way the story unfolded and they were plenty of surprises to be had. It was a very slow burn though. The first half of the book took a while to get going.
Once characters and setting were established, the atmosphere was tense and unnerving. I don’t know if it’s possible for a book to jump scare, but this one certainly came close.
I enjoyed the mindbending plot line and the psychic abilities and the way they were used here.
