Heartstopper Volume 2 by Alice Oseman

5.0

Stars: 5 out of five stars

Ive never really read graphic novels, but damn I should have done that early! I read heartstopper volume 1-4 in one sitting and loved them so much! They are my first 5 star rating I’ve had in a loooong time, but I can’t wait to read them again! I’m definitely going to be buying the physical copies!

The characters were amazing and their personality felt so real. Definitely relatable, especially in the way they dealt with drama, being a teenager and falling in love.

The way the story also showed mental struggles, and how it effects the day to day life, was impressive and felt so real. And as a person who have had these types of problems themselves, I really appreciated the trigger warnings!

The story was cute and I loved that there were so many representations!

I’m definitely going to read more graphic novels, because I also learned that I have a easier time understanding and picking up on emotions, since they are literally shown in a more exaggerated manner. I have a hard time (not always, but sometimes) picking up on the emotions and also the tone things are being said when reading, but that weren’t a problem when reading graphic novels. So please do recommend some more!
