I love Adam Silvera. I have read everything he put out and I plan to keep doing it. His books are amazing and the characters are always great.
That said, I can see a bit of the stumble that Silvera goes through with the fighting scenes and even a bit of the fantasy related foreshadowing that was a bit too on the nose for my tasting.
Even so, you can see him getting past both of these and rocking the second half in an incredible way. I couldn't stop reading once I hit the 50% mark and even though I could tell that something was going to happen, I had no idea how it would, and it was a joy to read it.
