Lucky Penny by Ellie Ashe

5.0

This is a great series and I enjoyed this 3rd installment a lot. The books are best enjoyed if you read them in order, mostly because of Miranda's story. After losing her career in Finance because she was falsely arrested and accused of fraud, she has come a long way. But it is only a year after being aquitted and Miranda is slowly finding her way in life again. The attraction between her and FBI agent Jake has been simmering on a back burner but it seems to be heating up. FINALLY!

Ar the start of the book I was despairing a bit because of the slow - slow! - movement of their relationship. They have not even been on a date in 2 books! But be assured everything is turning out well :-)

I also liked the main story about the owner of a luxury resort wanting to buy back a casino (the Penny) and needing Miranda to go over the accounts with her new boss Dottie. Dottie is a new character to enjoy and she also provides Miranda with a new career choice. And ofcourse, accounting is never dull in a Miranda Vaughn story!
