incredible, incredible, incredible. i understand the critiques but i don’t think she is equating indian caste with american racism. she is saying that racism is not a strong enough word for the centuries of strife african americans have endured. 

Individuals were no longer individuals. individuality after all is a luxury afforded the dominant caste. Individuality is the first distinction lost to the stigmatized
