Dirty Billionaire is the first book in the erotica romance series of the same title from bestselling author Meghan March. Signing up to read and review a Meghan March is automatic for me because all it really takes is seeing her name and I know that, at the very least, I'll have been entertained by the time I'm done reading. She doesn't disappoint with this series starter, bringing together rising country music star Holly Wix from Nashville and cocky and arrogant billionaire businessman Creighton Karas from Manhattan. The idea of two strangers meeting and agreeing to hook up for just one night is nothing new, but Meghan March weaves her usual brand of sexy romance magic and gives readers a man who likes being in control both in the bedroom and the boardroom, and a seemingly innocent young woman who wants more of him.

Yes, the sex is hot between the two main characters, but there's more to both Holly and Creighton that makes them fascinating individuals. There are no declarations of love and if the author decided to include any, I would have raised an eyebrow in mild disbelief. The initial connection is based on physical want and while we do get an inkling that the possibility of emotions deeper than sexual desire are in the offing, we aren't beaten over the head with unrealistic and overly early posturings or pronouncements. While love isn't really a factor in their relationship, Holly and Creighton are working their way to getting to know each other better--beyond sex, of course--and try to figure out what makes the other tick. But even this early, it's clear that Holly is makes Creighton feel deeper emotions while he introduces her to kinkier pleasures.

This book does end in an expected cliffhanger, but the wait for the second book is only a matter of three weeks, and since this isn't really a case of life or death, we won't necessarily be pulling our hair out in frustration for having to wait a bit. There's still a lot of story to be told--i.e. Holly's music career and Creighton's need to let go just a tad with his craving for control--and Meghan March has done a fab job whetting our appetite so that we'll want to continue on this journey with our two main characters. This is a fairly quick read, what with the book being more novella in length, and while you can choose to wait until all three installments are released before reading the series, I suggest you go ahead and start with Dirty Billionaire this week and see what all the addictive and dirty fuss is all about. I'm giving book one 4.5 stars, rounded off to five stars. ♥
