2☆ it was okay:
+ Loved the side characters.
+ Loved Callie's change after moving away from her hometown, her courage, patience and strength; that she did a lot of work on herself to try and overcome her trauma.
- It is often pointed out (in Kayden's pov) how innocent and sad Callie is and how he feels the need to protect her. It felt like he just wanted to be a savior.
- Kayden didn't have any development and although in the end of the book he started to fight back against the abuse, it felt ...misplaced?
- The plot was predictable and cliche.
- Did not like Kayden.
