I was recommended this series 5 years ago, but I didnt pick it up till last monday. So sorry for being late on jumping on the band wagon. Honestly I quite liked this book. Sure parts of it were cheesy but what else could I expect from a teen Vampire saga?

The bond between Lissa and Rose was such an original idea, and the way she used it to find her when she was in trouble to rescue her is just amazing. The friendship between Rose and Lissa, I wish I had one like that. They are constantly worried for each other. Rose is a dedicated friend, a true badass who stands up for what she believes in. And dont get me started on the forbidden romance between Rose and Dimitri! Ughhhh I wanted them to be together so bad. “We can’t be together because if I let myself love you, I wont jump in front of her, I’ll jump in front of you.”
