Are Prisons Obsolete? by Angela Y. Davis

5.0

Though short, this book was heavy. It was written in 2003 by abolitionist/advocate Angela Davis; it could not be more relevant today than it was nearly two decades ago. Though rooted in ideology, Davis’ ideas are practical and well-researched. It was great to learn from one of the most brilliant minds who has been one of the most consistent leaders in changing the way we think about prisons, capitalism, politics, and humanity.
