The Weather Detective: Rediscovering Nature's Secret Signs by Peter Wohlleben
2.0
I really was expecting to love this (I've heard great things about The Hidden Life of Trees) and the premise seems right up my alley, but I found it hard to enjoy.
The euro-centrism is a little frustrating, though I feel I shouldn't be mad since it was published in German.
Mostly, I felt the book lacked focus and organization. The chapters went from super general, cosmos-level tidbits, into the minutae of caring for your garden (seriously, did it occur to the author that we can be interseted in weather without being gardeners?).
I think if my expectations were lower I would have given it 3 stars, but it almost became a DNF.
