Lick by Kylie Scott

5.0

Holy Crap...Loved loved loved this book! Lick (Stage Dive #1) is definitely one of my favorite books of the year so far. It was hot, sexy, swoony, and sweet. Lick is about a girl named Evelyn and on her 21st birthday she and her bff decide to go to Vegas to celebrate. The morning after Ev's 21st birthday she wakes up with not only a nasty hangover but, a 5 carat diamond ring on her finger, a hot guy in her hotel room, and no memory of anything that happened the night before or who the guy is. That hot tattoo'd guy that Ev has not idea who he is, happens to be David Ferris lead guitarist for a popular band called Stage Dive.

I loved Evelyn (or Ev) as a heroine. SHe wasn't a pushover or whiney, She actually has one of the best personalities as book heroins go. She was completely real and honest and has a wicked sense of humor. I also found her to me mature for her age which I really liked.

Now, lets talk about David Ferris. The freaking HOT rockstar with tattoo's. You'd think with him being a rockstar that he's going to be another one of those cliché rockstars that's a complete asshole. Well, he's totally not. David Ferris is sweet and will do whatever it takes to make it work with Ev. HE says some things that'll make you want to jump in the pages of this book and rub yourself on him. Here are some of my favorite David quotes.

"They'e love songs, baby. Love isn't always smooth or straightforward. It can be messy and painful," he said, "Doesn't mean it isn't still the most incredible;e thing that can ever happen to you. Doesn't mean I'm not crazy about you."

"Fuck-drunk suits you Evelyn." A hand smoothed over my hip and he smiled down at me. "I'll eat you out whenever you like. You only have to ask"

That's only 2 of some wicked hot things that David says, and he says a lot of panty melting things.
I loved David & Evelyn together. Their relationship didn't seem forced or fake. Their chemistry & connection was so real and totally off the charts. They also had this way of bantering back and forth with each other which was fun. Don't get me wrong, they both had there own problem they needed to deal with & the way they dealt with them was realistic. I also, have to mention that the secondary characters were awesome. It's not often I love the secondary characters as much as I loved them in this book (especially Mal). They brought some flare to the story. I'd actually read books on the secondary characters.

I can't wait for the next book in this amazing series. I highly recommend this book to everyone!
