Alison Weir is a fantastic historian and storyteller. She using these strength to bring Henry VIII to live in this novel. This novel does an amazing job of portraying Henry not only as a King but also as a human being with feelings and flaws. Part of this book felt rushed but this book could be double the size and still not fit everything about his life into it. Overall, great read! Like all Weir Historical fiction, it is accessible to those who do not have an academic history background!
