I had no expectations going into this and I LOVED IT SO MUCH.

Okay so I had read TLH in the past but it was pretty mediocre for me so this was really going to be the determining factor of if I wanted to read more of the authors books and um I need to go pick them up this second?!?

Characters? Slayed. Plot? Predictable but still held me by the throat. Worldbuilding? Loved. This book is just proof that authors need to experiment in other genres more often!!

I am a strong advocator of multiple povs in romance but while all the chapters are from Misery’s perspective, there’s little chapter intros from Lowe and I thought it was soooooo cool. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen it done before?

I had been reading a lot of mediocre books and I so badly needed one that sucked me in and didn’t let me go and this delivered 1000%!
